Guilford Men’s and Women’s Basketball Announces Schedule Changes
Quakers make adjustments to matchups with Eastern Mennonite with inclement weather looming
from Bryce Johnson, Director of Athletic Communications
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Guilford College men’s and women’s basketball teams, in collaboration with Eastern Mennonite University and in the safety and best interests of all involved, have made a schedule change, moving their “home-and-home” set with the Royals to Friday evening matchups, the departments announced on Thursday.
The nationally receiving votes Quakers men’s team will now host EMU on Friday evening at Jack Jensen Court inside the Ragan-Brown FieldHouse with tipoff at 6:00 PM. The Guilford women’s team will also move their game up to Friday night on the campus of Eastern Mennonite with tipoff set for 6:00 PM for that contest as well.
The changes come with a significant winter storm bearing down on the region and with the adjusted dates, the department hopes for better road conditions for all participants, workers, and fans. In that vein, Guilford Athletics would like to emphasize the interest of safety as the games approach, and wish all attendees safe travels.
