The Bishop McGuinness Villains hosted Uwharrie Charter in the 2nd round of the NCHSAA playoffs and played through a tough defensive game-plan to take a victory. Bishop jumped out to an early lead thanks to hot shooting, hitting 5 3-pointers in the first frame.

The Villains were led by Nicholas Graves who had 30 points (6 3-pointers), 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Junior Thomas Thompson finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Forward Arop Chom had 8 points and 6 rebounds.

Bishop will host North Rowan on Tuesday night in the 3rd round of the tournament.
