The Bishop McGuinness Villains hosted North Rowan in the Sectional Final of the 1A NCHSAA Tournament and played through an attacking defense to pull out the victory. Senior Nicholas Graves led the Villains with his second triple-double in the last month.
Graves finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Junior Thomas Thompson led Bishop in points with 24 and added 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Alex Waterfield totalled 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Bishop will host Corvian Community Charter in a rematch of last year’s Regional Semi-Final on Friday night.
