Keatts Will Not Return
from www.gopack.com:
NC State’s McMurray Family Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan has announced that Wolfpack men’s basketball coach Kevin Keatts has been relieved of his duties effective immediately.
“I want to thank Coach Keatts for his contributions to NC State and for always representing the university with class,” said Corrigan. “He will always have a treasured place in Wolfpack history for the accomplishments of his 2023-24 squad and I appreciate the passion he brought to this role. We wish him and his family the best in the future.”
Keatts, who just finished his eighth season at NC State, posted an overall record of 151-113 with the Pack, finishing 69-84 in ACC play. His teams earned three NCAA Tournament bids during his time in Raleigh.
A national search for NC State’s next head coach will begin immediately.
**********Final Four Last Year for Keatts and the Wolfpack, and then he’s out and gone this year….Now no ACC Tournament for State, no postseason for State, and no more Kevin Keatts for State…**********
Bring back one of The Boys from the Burgh!
It’s Miller Time (Sean or Archie)
That could be a very good call there…Archie played there(N.C. State), and Sean coached at State….
I spent an hour and a-half at the outdoor basketball court today/Sunday and much of my shooting time was spent trying to make the shot from the left side of the court, where you shoot and hit the top part of the left side of the backboard and make the ball go down and through the net for two….You know like the kid, Kadyn Turner-Scott did for Smith HS, vs. Crest back on Friday night in the 3-A boys playoffs….I tried that shot again and again, and only got it fall forward twice, and one time it came down off the left side of the top of the backboard, and it came down banked and at least it hit the rim…
But that shot is almost seemingly impossible to make….Don’t know how the kid from Smith got it to go, but he did it, and more power to him…Off the top of the backboard and straight back down through the net…WOW….
