Coach Kimrey is now the assistant principal at Morehead High School in Eden, N.C. His daughter Anna Kimrey is the starting third baseman for the NG Nighthawks softball team, and she is just a freshman…
Coach Kimrey works with Jason Tuggle at Morhead High School, and Jason is the former girls basketball coach at Western Guilford HS, and the women’s coach, at Greensboro College…Morehead HS also has Damien Price as their boys head basketball coach and his dad David Price is Damien’s assistant coach there at Morehead…David Price, the former state champion boys basketball coach at Dudley HS and Damien played high school hoops for his dad, there at Dudley…
From the Northwest Guilford fans, we saw Tom Herlocker, and his granddaughter Maggie Perez is the starting catcher for the NWG softball team…Maggie is just a freshman for NWG, and as an eighth-grader she played ball at the Revolution Academy…Revolution Academy did not a have softball team for the girls, so Maggie tried out, and she made the boys baseball team…On the baseball team, Maggie was named team MVP…Saw Maggie’s mom too, and Maggie’s sister works for the production team, producing Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball games…Maggie’s older sister Caroline, is a high school senior at the Weaver Education Center in Greensboro…Caroline will be attending a video production college in Nashville, Tennessee, next Fall…Caroline is very advanced in her video production field, and the college she will be attending in one of the tops in the nation….
Maggie Perez had what I thought was one of the Defensive Plays of the Game today, when she reached back and grabbed a quick foul popup behind the plate for an out today…And hard not recognize the 15 strikeouts by Dakota Wilkins, and Wilkins had an excellent day on Defense and on Offense this afternoon…
Tom Herlocker, the grandfather of Maggie and Caroline, is the former owner and manager of the Libby Hill Seafood Restaurant that was on Randleman Road…Tom worked for the Conrad Family, the Libby Hill Seafood founders, and Tom ran the Libby Hill Randleman Road location for several years…Tom’s sons Michael and Jason played high school football for the Ragsdale Tigers back in the day, and Michael went on to play for Elon Univeristy in college…That Libby Hill Seafood was some top seafood in our state, back in its prime days…
