Ragsdale High School is proud to announce that senior standout Owen Robinson has officially etched his name into the Ragsdale Baseball Records Book, recording his 270th career strikeout during last night’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Northwest Guilford in the 4A Metro Conference Tournament.
Robinson’s milestone moment is the latest in a historic season. Earlier this month, he also notched his 100th career hit on April 15, 2025, adding to an already remarkable list of achievements. With the postseason in full swing, Owen continues to be one of the leaders for the Tigers both on the mound and at the plate.
Head Coach Donnie Maness reflected on the historical weight of Robinson’s accomplishment: “We are all very proud of Owen and his tremendous accomplishment. We have had many great high school pitchers at Ragsdale over the years, so to be the strikeout king here is such a cool thing. It just shows how consistently good Owen has been in his time here.”
Athletic Director Deborah Jones emphasized the significance of the moment for the school and community: “This is a truly special moment for Ragsdale Athletics. Owen represents the best of what it means to be a student-athlete—dedicated, humble, and team-focused. His accomplishments inspire not only his teammates but the entire Ragsdale community. We couldn’t be prouder.”
As the season continues, Robinson’s numbers are expected to rise, and so too is his place in Ragsdale’s baseball legacy. With each game, he’s not just helping the Tigers win—he’s writing history.
