Hearing about the new Girls Basketball Coach at Page HS, and it is Noah Adams

I was doing the afternoon walk today, and I always try to get in the afternoon walk, saying if there is no Baseball Game to be played that night…Get in the Morning Run, and the afternoon walk, when at all possible…Ran this morning, and was again walking this afternoon, and I was walking up the hill and through the parking lot at my neighborhood elementary school, and I heard a couple of teachers talking there in the back lot, and it sounded like they were talking about coaching, and I really thought maybe they were talking about Middle School sports coaching…

So when I hear coach talk and sport talk going on, it is not uncommon at all for me jump into the conversation, and my ears always perk up when I hear this kind of talk going on…So I said something like, “I heard you guys talking about some coaching going on, what’s the word, Middle School Ball???”

They said no, it is on the high school level…And I said just where are we talking about, and they said at Page High School, and I said what is going on??? Then they told me that the Page Pirates have a new girls basketball coach, replacing former coach, Ed Johnson…So I am thinking out loud saying, that is the first I had heard of that, that is brand new news to me…”Who is the new girls coach at Page, I asked”…

Response was Noah Adams…They said he was the boys assistant coach at Page HS last season, working with Page boys head coach, Brandon Harris…I told my new-found basketball friends that I did not know Noah Adams, and they in turn told me, they felt like he would do a good job…

So, I had the name of the new Page Pirates girls basketball coach Noah Adams…So what to do next, I had the news…Go ahead and share it/post it??? Nope, the next move was to head on home and get on the phone with the Page High School Athletic Director Gordon Haegan, and get this news verified, and make sure I could go ahead and publish it, and that is what I did…

Put in the call to Page AD Gordon Haegan, and he said, “Yes Sir, our new girls basketball coach for the Page Pirates is Noah Adams”…He was the assistant for the boys team, working with Coach Brandon Harris last season, and he has been at Page HS a couple of years now…Before coming to Page HS, he was the boys assistant basketball coach at Wesleyan Christian Academy, and for a while, he was the interim coach at Wesleyan…Coach Adams is in his late 20’s/early 30’s said Gordon Haegan…

Former Page girls coach Ed Johnson is remaining at Page HS, as the girls golf coach, and they play their season in the Fall, while new Page Pirates Girls Basketball Coach Noah Adams is ready to hit the court running, as he will lead the Page young women in hoops, for 2025-2026…

You never know what you might learn walking through the backlot(parking lot), but today, I did learn a lot…..We have had a ‘Successful Mission”…..
