Friday Night Finish with Page Pirates’ Ship much stronger than the McDowell Titans’ who ended up on The Titanic, as Page Takes Titans To The Woodshed, 68-0 Page(Could have been 70-0)[More Thoughts]

Page wins it tonight over at the Marion Kirby Stadium, and like the title tells us, the Page Pirates’ Ship was gliding over and along the mighty seas, while the McDowell Titans probably felt like they had boarded The Titanic, as Page took McDowell to good old fashioned Woodshed and the Pirates gave them a whooping, and it was 68-0, but that final could have easily been 70-0, with Page going for Two after their last score, and they completed the pass to their offensive lineman, Ayden Buchanan for the Two Points, but he did not report in as an Eligible Receiver before Page ran that successful play, and that Final Two Points was wiped off the scoreboard and Page had to settle for the 68-Zip win in Round One of the NCHSAA 7-A Football Playoffs…

Oh Well…That 68-0 finish is very impressive and here is how they/Page got there….
Game Summary and TD Tally coming, but we will get some Video Work from the game up here first…
That and MORE coming here soon…

**********Thoughts on our other teams, goes like this…We may as well pack it in and go to sleep…Not much left to look over…Bryant Roche has the Dudley win over Glenn covered at the News and Record site, and we have that Page-McDowell game covered from top-to-bottom here at this site…And as for the rest of our Guilford County teams, they are LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG GONE!!!!!

As a collective group of Guilford County Teams, our schools went (2-8), and that hurts….We started out with 14 of our Guilford County Teams in The Hunt, but now we just have six teams left…Gone after tonight are:
CPLA
Southern Guilford
Southeast Guilford
Western Guilford
Ragsdale
Smith
Eastern Guilford
and Northwest Guilford…..We go (2-8) on this Friday night, and that is a sight, as we look the teams over here at this site…From the 8 that lost, I was looking for wins from Southeast and Eastern Guilford…But not this time around…We covered all those teams hard this season, and we hate to see them leave/gone….Don’t much more to say, since I was only at the Page-McDowell game, and usually if I am at a game, our Guilford County teams will win…That is just how it goes…But, I/we can’t be at all the games at the same time, but we will be out there somewhere again next week…Let’s hit the road, and see which way this sucker is going to go….***********

  1. Proof of yesterdays discussion that the playoff expansion was too broad some schools in playoffs have no chance to win

  2. Kudos to what you gentlemen are saying here.

Excellent observation and I wholeheartedly agree.

Too many teams made the playoffs. And too many brackets too.

  3. A young man/football player from the McDowell Titans team was injured in the game last night, and had to be taken to the local hospital…Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family today….
