Are you still trying to tell me that Duke did not win the Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship last season??? There’s no way they didn’t Take the Title with Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel out there for Duke(They had 83 points between them on Thursday night)

Thursday night NBA score from Dallas, Texas:Charlotte Hornets 123, Dallas Mavericks 121
Copper Flagg with 49 points for Dallas, an NBA single-game rookie scoring record…Kon Knueppel 34 points for the Hornets, and Kon Knueppel hit eight(8) three-point shots…

And what is so crazy about all this???

Both of these young men played for the Duke Blue Devils last college basketball season, and all day/night long, I have been trying to figure out how Duke was not crowned the NCAA 2025 Men’s College Basketball Champions…

Duke didn’t win the Title???

What was going on with Duke in their NCAA Final Four semifinal loss to the Houston Cougars, with the final score of, Houston 70, Duke 67…Cooper Flagg scored 27 points for Duke, to lead the Blue Devils in that semifinal setback…

But, I still can’t for the life of me understand how Duke did not seal the whole deal, take the title, cut the nets, One Shining Moment and all that stuff…

Not when Duke had two Duke Blue Devils on the court in the same game, not even a year later, and one guy scored 49 points, and the other fellow scores 34…This is Krazy…Kon Knueppel Krazy…

If Knueppel and Flagg can score 83 points by themselves, then why didn’t Duke turn them loose vs. Houston, and just have those kids attack the basketball with twos and threes, and let it be D…Let it be D, as in D-U-K-E…Duke had to win that NCAA Championship Game last season…There is no way on earth that Duke should not have taken home that title…

Hottest thing I have ever seen coming out of Charlotte…Kon Knueppel. We knew Flagg was going to be HOT, but Knueppel is just as HOT as Flagg, and some nights, Knueppel is even HOTTER!!!!!

The Knueppel Triple is sending a Knueppel Triple Ripple around the NBA…

Flagg had 49 points and Kon Knueppel had 34 of his own, in that Hornets win over the Dallas Mavericks…You just know the Duke coaching staff has to be hitting their heads against the wooden backboards, that remanin downstairs in Cameron Indoor Stadium…Duke coaches saying has they pound their noggins against the boards, “We should have given Flagg and Knueppel the green light and told them to just go do your thing, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas”.

The ball should have been in Flagg and Knueppel’s hands 90% of the time in that semifinal loss to Houston, in Duke’s 18th appearance in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four, in what proved to the most disappointing loss in Duke Final Four History…

Why such a big disappointment???

Because they(Duke with Knueppel and Flagg) had the firepower to win it all, and we all saw that firepower on display Thursday night in Dallas, Texas; where Knueppel and Flagg could not be stoppped…Knueppel went 10-16 from the field, making 8-12 shots from three-point range, and Knueppel was 6-6 from the free throw line…He did it in 36 minutes, and while he was playing his butt off on defense, he committed NO(0) personal fouls…

Flagg’s 49 points for Dallas, came on 20-29 shooting from the field, going 3-5 from behind the arc, Flagg just like Knueppel, was 6-6 from the foul line…Flagg also had 10 rebounds for the Mavs, and committed just two personal fouls…

Those two guys(Flagg and Knueppel) should be sporting NCAA Men’s Championship Basketball Rings from the 2025 season/tournament…

So we have established the fact that these two guys are good, YES, they are really good!!!!!

They combine to score 83 points in the same game, but they were on opposite teams you are saying, but I am saying back at ya, that they were on the same team, wearing the same Blue Devils uniforms last season…That 2025 Banner should be haning in Cameron Indoor Stadium right now…

But, let me tell you something else brothers and sisters….I have said all of that above, to say this…

Fun to Follow the Fellows again…And they have me checking the ESPN.com boxscores on a very regular basis again, and this is good stuff…The Hornets were at (16-21) on the season, and that is not all that great, but with the recent Five-Game Winnnig streak, Charlotte now sits at (21-28) for the year, and if they can ever get that record back to even at the .500 mark, you know, the old half-half record, that that will sure be cause for a Super Celebration…

The Charlotte Hornets at (28-28), 28-up and 28-down, that would be something to see, and reason for added optimism for the rest of this current 2025-2026 NBA season…

Time to go get it, and my theory is still going to be that it came about due to the Kon Knueppel Kraze…This Kon Knueppel Kraze is going Krazy…Love the winning feeling, and great to see the team coming together, and let’s say a silent, but still Very Strong silent prayer that no players get injured or traded in mid-stream, and that has been a Kurse that has Krushed the Hopes of the Hornets in the past…

Happy Hopes for the Hornets here in still early 2026, and those same hopes were around back in 1988 when the Charlotte Hornets entered the NBA as an expansion team…I was in Charlotte in the Summer of 1988 for their first-ever draft, and with their First-Ever Draft Pick they selected center Big Dave Hoppen from Nebraska…Hornets were Hopping Hoppen would really make them take off, but it wasn’t until Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning arrived in the Queen City to join Muggsy Bouges, in forming a soloid three-some, that the Hornets Really got the Region Rockin’…..

From what I have witnessed over the years, the Charlotte Hornets have been a flop since back in the days of GranMaMa Larry Johnson, Zo Mourning, and Muggsy…
