  1. Yes, schools are back in session, and Guilford County Schools are back tomorrow/Friday, and games on, on Friday night…GDS-Caldwell was a two-point game at GDS earlier…GDS took out WES pretty hard back at the AAR Tournament, in December…

  2. @John Rocket When was the last time either basketball program was relevant? Back in Matt Harder’s first couple of years at Page?

  3. @Reality Czech. Clearly you did not go to page or grimsley. It never matters if the programs are relevant, it helps if they are but the rivalry speaks for itself. Easily a top 5 rivalry in NC.

  4. And don’t forget time for the Whirlie girls to beat down the pitiful Pirates. Go Whirlies!!

Grimsley boys are down this year but you never know in this rivalry. Neither team is all that great this season. Page will get beat in the first round if they even make the playoffs.

  5. @reality czech

Grimsley has been down the past couple years because of injury but won like 25 games and made deep runs in the playoffs almost every year since Corbett has been back. Way better than Harder’s teams

  6. @Truth I don’t remember Grimsley making the 4-A semifinals, which Harder’s first team did with Xavier Hill-Mais, Diondre Overton & Co. at Joel.

  7. I was there broadcasting that game with Page in WS at the Joel on a Friday afternoon…

To me the bigger game was the Sunday afternoon final game with Page vs. Lake Norman and I think that one was a Sectional Final, maybe a Regional Final…Played on Sunday afternoon because there was soooooo much snow that week…Only way was to get the game in on Sunday, at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center….Page was loaded with talent with Anthony Eaves, Xavier Hill-Mais, Jeremy Harris, Jalen “Smiley” Seegars, and Ty Graves, the other guard who teamed up with Eaves…That team was loaded…And Diondre Overton was on that team too…Harris transferred in from NEG, Overton from SEG, and Seegars from SG…Eaves and Ty Graves, were the guards that came to Page from the backcourt at Mendenhall…
