Do the overall season records even matter any more at this stage of the season??? I would say NOT…They do not, when you look at (16-12) Kings Mountain, and their 69-68 win over #1 West boys seed Smith on Monday, and then the Kings Mountain Mountaineers followed that up, with their 68-61 victory over boys #2 West seed Charlotte Catholic last night…Some kind of Wild and Crazy stuff going on there for sure, and now the (16-12) Kings Mountain Mountaineers will play of the 6-A State Title….WOW!!!!!

For the most part, I guess you can say that every team is now (0-0) going into their next ballgame, right???

  1. I think Kings Mountain is ready to win it all. And I don’t care what their record is. They beat #1 Smith and #2 Catholic, plus the East is always weaker than the West. So I say go get it Mountaineers. Kings Mountain State Champs. And I heard Reidsville was getting the best players from all over Rockingham County and even trying to pull them in from Danville, VA.

The Andrews you highlighted, Andy, is the one out west in Cherokee County, not TW Andrews.

As for Reidsville, that’s nothing new. All the football and basketball players up there go to Reidsville. The girls basketball players go to Rockingham County. The wrestlers go to Morehead. The baseball players go to McMichael or Morehead. That’s how it’s been for decades.

  3. The highlights are to put the Final Scores in Bold, and not highlighting HP Andrews…Just to highlight the Final Scores of all the games from today…

  4. Must be Gary Stone from Stonedville. Reidsville has the top player in the state in Neal and the Rams will win it all. There are the best high school team in the state.
Reidsville Rams and don’t forget it.

  5. With the record like they have, Kings Mountain shouldn’t even be in this thing. But they are and go figure. I figure the state association will switch it to just 6 classifications in three years from now. Just too many teams showing up at The Dance.

  6. Wishing ALL teams good luck in this year’s Tournament. And would really love to see those Northern Guilford Nighthawks girls win it ALL.

  7. Reidsville(22-1) vs. Washington(23-5) on Saturday afternoon at 4pm in Greenville, N.C., at East Carolina University….The Washington Pam Pack handed the Reidsville Rams their only loss of the season, 78-74, back on December 26, 2025, at the John Wall Tournament, in Raleigh, N.C.

    You people are CRAZY.
    The state won’t change nothing.
They are racking up the big money.
    They may add more classes.
The more the better for them because more games, more teams, more classifications, means more money for the NCHSAA.
They have found a license to print money.
