WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP 50/50 RAFFLE WILL BENEFIT BACKPACK ORGANIZATIONS, FIRST TEE-TRIAD
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wyndham Championship’s focus on charitable impact has always been a key aspiration, and this year, the tournament’s 50-50 raffle highlights longtime tournament priorities. The 87th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 5-9, 2026, at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
For more than a decade, the Wyndham Championship’s backpack program focused on food insecurity, a problem plaguing every county in the United States. Funds raised through this year’s 50-50 raffle will benefit Backpack Beginnings, Out of the Garden Project, the Forsyth Backpack Program and the United Way of High Point. The Wyndham Championship remains a major supporter of The First Tee – Triad, and funds raised through the 50-50 raffle will also benefit this important organization.
The raffle, which is live now, will be available on-site at the Wyndham Championship and online for those who are not at the tournament. The jackpot winner will be drawn at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, and the jackpot could reach $125,000 if ticket purchases exceed $250,000. In addition, for each day of Wyndham Championship official tournament play, a daily drawing will award tournament-related prizes such as hospitality tickets or signed tournament memorabilia.
“Food insecurity remains a major problem in our region of North Carolina,” Executive Director Mark Brazil said. “Without proper nutrition, kids struggle to get the education and basic foundation they need to succeed later in life. The number of children in this situation is truly staggering, but all of us can help. Through this 50-50 raffle, we are making a concerted effort to fight food insecurity, and at the same time, give fans a chance to win some money while supporting a great cause.”
Raffle tickets may only be purchased electronically or by scanning the QR codes located around the Wyndham Championship in August. The purchase options are:
Par: $10 for five chances
Birdie: $20 for 20 chances
Eagle: $40 for 80 chances
Hole-in-One: $100 for 250 chances
