Made our way on over to Lincoln Street on this Saturday morning, and caught up with Dudley Panthers’ long-time head football coach, Steven Davis..
Coach Davis, on the scene at Dudley, since back in 2001, and he became the head football coach for the Panthers, in 2004…He has seen a lot over the years, and he likes what he sees from his Panthers, prior to the 2026 season…They have a scrimmage with High Point Andrews next week, and then go down to Mallard Creek for a scrimmage, the following week…Dudley opens up on the road, at Cardinal Gibbons, and then down to Southeast Raleigh, to crank up the new football year…
Solid offensive returners from last seasons’ team, with WR Vermont Carmack and RB Michael Boone, being two very explosive players, and Dudley will have a new QB, after losing Brayden Jeffries to graduation…Return man, WR, and sometimes DB Che’kiah Hicks is known for his speed, and he hopes to lead some of the younger Panthers toward the end zone, where he should be joined by Boone, and Carmack…
Lots of Dudley Panthers on the scene at the practice this morning and good to see Coach Davis, assistant coaches Ricky Lewis Jr., Denorris Best, Kelton Shephard, Marcus Alford, and Coach Hicks all helping the boys get ready…
