Page beat Walkertown 13-6. Penalties prevented multiple Page touchdowns.
Page is supposed to be pretty good, what do we know about Walkertown?
Walkertown HC is Tripp Honeycutt, who was an assistant at Northern for a few years. Much smaller enrollment than Page, but they usually have some talent — until they transfer to East or West Forsyth.
I heard the refs were very flag happy in that Page/Walkertown scrimmage. Heard Page had 2-3 TDs called back, and Walkertown’s TD was heavily aided by the yellow hankies.
Seems like Page has some serious explosiveness on offense, but needs to work on discipline.
In other news, Page’s week 1 opponent Charlotte Christian lost 28-6 to Ardrey Kell last Friday night in a scrimmage. Things that make you go, hmmmmm?
Guilford County Teams in the Top 100 Teams in the state, from MaxPreps.com…Northern Guilford and High Point Christian Academy, not looking too bad…Also stuck in Ardrey Kell, since they were mentioned above, and the Ardrey Kell Knights look to be pretty good…Under the copy and paste procedure, the teams’ names got listed twice, but that gives you a little of the “Double Shot Power”…..
