NC State Announces Change in Leadership for Wolfpack Football
From I was hearing and from what I was led to believe, Dave Doeren wanted to step away from his post, as the head football coach at N.C. State, at the end of last season…But State AD Boo Corrigan talked him into staying one more year, and Doeren did plan to stay on for one more year(2026), and then step down, and leave Raleigh for another destination…
So they talked Dave Doeren into stickikng around, and then they fired him at mid-season…Well, as the old saying goes I guess, “What Have You Done Dave Doeren”, and they mean, “What have done, and have you won lately Coach Doeren?????”…..Why didn’t they just let him finish out the 2026 season, probably 4 games left on the schedule…
Should have let him walk out with his head held up…
What difference does it make???
N.C. State is not going to be college football powerhouse, and the same can be said for North Carolina/UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, and Wake Forest…These schools will have some fun playing football and fielding hopefully competitive teams, but Powerhouses, not likely…So play on till you see the lights in the Gym, and let those basketballs keep bouncing, while the football teams finish up their seasons…
Every few years Wake Forest will win some real big games, and then another year it will be North Carolina’s turn, and last year Duke enjoyed some success in the pigskin department…And N.C. State will have glory days too, but consistently, No Way…
With teams like Clemson, Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and sometimes VA Tech, UVA, and Pittsburgh, they are all standing in the way of the so-called Big Four…(And don’t forget SMU, Cal, Stanford, Louisville, and others.)
So let the schedule roll on, and our football teams from the grand ole state of North Carolina, will be done again soon…Sorry for you Dave Doeren…You said you were leaving, they asked you to please come back one MORE year, and then they kicked you and your family to The Curb.
