Great Day for a High School Football Game at Dudley High School: Dudley Panthers 48, Northeast Guilford Rams 0

Final from this afternoon over at Tarpley Stadium, in the James B. Dudley High School campus, on what was just a beautiful day/afternoon for a high school football game….

Dudley scores three First Quarter touchdowns….Dudley RB LJ Southern with two quick touchdowns to begin the game with one by run and one was on pass reception from Dudley QB Andrew/Drew Attmore II…After the two Dudley TDs by Southern, Rayshawn Wilson runs the ball in for 4-yard touchdown carry, and with the PAT Kick Good from Panthers’ kicker Andre Cummings…Dudley with Cummings 3-3 on the first three PAT…

In the second quarter Dudley gets a TD run from Kordell Bartley at the 10:33 mark on Quarter number Two, and the PAT kick from Cummings comes up short and the Dudley Panthers extend their lead to 27-0 early in the 2nd Q…Later on in the contest Kordell Bartley took off on an 82-yard punt return for a TD, but the play was called back, due to a Dudley holding penalty…Bartley can take it to the House in a Hurry…Barley is one of the most electrifying runners in our state….

The Dudley Defense steps up big next, when Seth Lawrence gets a strip and score, and it was almost like a scoop and score, Lawrence took the ball away from the NEG ball carrier, and he took the ball back about 6 yards for the Dudley Panthers’ score…And at 7:44 to go in the Second Quarter, Dudley leads Northeast Guilford, 34-0…Dudley was getting strong defensive play all day from guys like Lawrence, Deese, Latrell Wilson, Sa’Mad Bell, Kameron Baldwin, DJ Parker and MORE….

Dudley continued to get strong running in the second half from LJ Southern, and Kordell Bartley made another HUGE pass grab, on the perfect delivery from QB Drew Attmore, and after that big play, Attmore II hit LJ Southern for a 10-yard TD pass, and then Attmore turned right around and unloaded a strike to Nasir Newkirk, for the two-point conversion play….These eight(8) points came with :53 seconds left to play in the Second Quarter, and at this stage of the game, Dudley was up 42-0….And we’re not even at Halftime yet…

In the second half, Dudley got a 10-yard TD run from backup QB Antonio Lee and the Cummings PAT kick failed, making the score Dudley 48, NEG 0; with 7:33 to play in quarter number three…And was the end of the scoring on this Saturday afternoon…Dudley goes to close out the action, and knocks off the Northeast Guilford Rams, with a final score of 48-0….

NEG must have run nearly as many plays as Dudley did, and NEG also threw the ball as many times or more, than they ran it..NEG has a fairly steady left-handed quarterback in in Tristan Tucker, and their back Tate runs as any of the other backs around, but Dudley was totoally intent on not letting the NEG Rams hit the showers, this afternoon….Lots of reps for both teams today, and what both the Panthers saw, and what the Rams saw, should help both of teams moving forward….
