Dudley Panther’s center Heaven Cooper connected on her first free throw with 3.2 seconds left to give Dudley the lead and improve to 2-2 on the season. Dudley rallied from a 6 point fourth quarter deficit to tie the game at 48 with 1:15 to play. After a missed Grimsley shot, Cooper caught a long pass, drove into the paint and was fouled in the act of shooting. She made the first to give the Panthers the lead and then missed the second. The Whirlies were out of timeouts and quickly tried to advance the ball, but the clocked expired before a half-court shot could be attempted. Dudley improved to 2-2 on the season while the Whirlies dropped to 1-2.
