  1. Unreal how you can lose the number 1 player in the country and just go on winning like it never happened. Great team and dominant program.

  2. Super proud of how the Grimsley Whirlies have responded to adversity! Speaking of a dominant program…80-4 over the last 6+ seasons.

  3. Ragsdale’s bad play goes back to the 1st day they hired BOYKINS. Nobody will tell you different. Now Clinton High School hired him and dealing with his awful coaching.

  4. Coach Boykin may have seen some stuggles with his head coaching work, but I can tell you from experience, he was one of the best people I haver ever known…He was good to all on the sports coverage front, and as an assistant coach, the Ragsdale fans always wanted him to be their head coach…Kirk Sparks, the father of Walt Sparks, a RHS Tiger LB in the day, always told me, that Coach Boykin, while working under CoachTommy Norwood, Kirk Sparks told me Coach Boykin was the best at what he does…Also Devin Boykin, Coach Boykin’s youngest son, he is now playing DB at Indiana….Me personally, I was always a big fan of the work Devin did, in football and in basketball….

The Coach that was at Clinton before Coach Boykin took over, that coach took a boat load of players with him to his new job across the border in South Carolina….Coach Boykin inherited a pretty dismal setting when he went back home to coach the Clinton Darkhorses…He may be struggling now, but Coach Boykin cares about his players from what I have seen, and he is a great man, that does all he can to put the best product on the football field….That’s my two cents-plus….
