Cameron Keshock puts a Lock on the Greenville Drive bats allowing 0 Runs, 0 Hits, with 3 BBs/9 Ks and Cameron is the Key to Hoppers 10-4 Victory and Five LOOOOOONG GONE HRs help too:(Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Report)

Final Score from Saturday Night at First National Bank Field:
Greensboro Grasshoppers 10, Greenville Drive 4
(This is our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Report, and how many of you remember their GM??? The GM there in Raleigh is Sean Mahaffey, and he was at Rice Toyota, in Greensboro, and he is a Western Guilford HS graduate…Sean Mahaffey, from the old Libby Hill Seafood Youth Baseball Championship Team, that was coached by Henry Bondurant….Lots of local memories there.)

From Saturday Night at FNB Field…
WP:Cameron Keshock(1-1)/LP:Marcus Phillips(0-2)

Hoppers' Line-10-12-0
Drive' Line- 4- 4-3

Greensboro Grasshoppers remain in First Place in the South Atlantic League’s Northern Division, as they see their record improve now to (20-12)…Greenville falls to (14-18) with the loss…Hoppers now at (4-1) vs. Greenville this week, in the Six-Game Series at FNB Field, and the Grasshoppers sit at (7-1) vs. the Drive for the season…A Win on Sunday would push the Hoppers to (5-1)/(8-1), and that is a good possibility for the hometown team on Mothers’ Day at the ballpark….

Got to give it up for Cameron Keshock with his No-Hit effort from Saturday night, versus the Greenville Drive…Keshock is the REMAX Revolution Player of the Game, as he allowed NO Runs, on NO Hits, with 3 BBs, and 9 Huge Strikeouts, over his Five Innings of work, on the Hill for the Hoppers…Keshock put a Lock on the Greenville bats, and would not turn them loose…Right after Keshock exited the baseball game, the first man to the plate for the Greenville Drive, hit a Solo Home Run to center field, off of Hoppers’ reliever Aldolfo Oviedo…Antonio Andreson went LONG for Greenville, and the Hoppers/Keshock No-Hitter was LOOOOONG GONE…

But, in true fairness to the Greensboro Grasshoppers, they were going LOOOOOOOOONG GONE on Saturday night too…There were FIVE Hopper Homers in this game, with Jones, Severino, Florentino, Polanco, and Plas all sending balls out of the yard on this night….Five Hopper Homers to give Greensboro 46 HRs as a team, in 2026…

Jhonny Severino with a Three-Run homer, and the rest of the Hoppers were taking the solo route to the hill/road/street…For the night, Shalin Polanco led the parade of Hopper Hitters, going 4-4/HR/1 Run/2 RBI/SB…Axiel Plaz went 2-4/HR/BB/3 Runs/RBI…Jared Jones was 2-5/HR/2 Runs/RBI…Jhonny Severino went 1-4/HR/BB/2 Runs/3 RBI…Very busy night for the Hoppers offense, and Greensboro led 7-0, and then stayed in place to win the game, 10-4…

We posted his numbers, and those numbers for Cameron Keshock do speak for themselves, and he was the top Hopper pitcher in this contest, but the finisher, Alexis Torres also was strong, as he went 1 2/3 Innings, allowing 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 BBs/3 Ks…In-between Keshock and Torres, the Hoppers had Oviedo and Lobo on the hill, and they gave up the 4 Drive Runs, on 4 Drive Hits, with 4 BBs/1 K…Keshock and Torres strong, with 12 Ks between them, plus Keshock and Torres, gave up 0 Runs, and 0 Hits…

Henry Godbout, and Antonio Anderson both hit home runs for Greenville, with Godbout going for a Two-Run shot, and Anderson taking the Solo HR route…

All of the Drive pitchers, starter Marcus Phillips, Shea Sprague, and Calvin Bickerstaff gave up HRs in this game…Two Homers off of Phillips and Sprague, and One off of Bickerstaff…

Still feel like the tone set for this game, by Greensboro Grasshoppers staring pitcher Cameron Keshock, was the difference in this game…Keshock in control from the get-go, and he retired 14 of the 17 batters he faced in the game…Nine of the fourteen batters that Keshock erased, were Strikeout Victims…

Again, plenty of offense from the Greensboro team, to compliment their Keshock/Torres mound memories, and offensively, Shalin Polanco had himself a heck of a night…He was on base four straight times, with his three singles, and his solo HR, plus he was dancing on the bases so much, we called him a “Dancing King”…Polanco advanced to third base three times in the ballgame, and stole one base…

In the game, every Hopper batter reached base at least one time, and Axiel Plaz led the scoring-parade around the bases, with Plaz scoring three of the Hoppers’ ten runs…Jared Jones and Jhonny Severino each scored twice…
Three Greenville Drive errors also played a part in what the Hoppers were able to do, scoring-wise…

The Greensboro Grasshoppers are getting the job done this season, and they have done an outstanding job at home this week, and just about time to try and finish off the homestand, with a solid win on Sunday…
