(This is our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh, Game Report.)

WP:Hung-Leng Chang(3-0)/LP:Morris Austin(1-1)/SV:Jacob Bimbi(3)
Hoppers' Line-4-7-1 WS Dash' Line-2-6-1
Hoppers now at (27-17), and the WS Dash fall to (26-18) on the season…Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win Again, at FNB Field…
Jared Jones, with his Two-Out, Two-Run Home Run, going LOOOOOOOOONG GONE to right field, in the Bottom of the Eighth Inning, and he came up with the Game-Winner on Saturday night…Yordany De Los Santos was on at third base, after he had drawn a Walk, and stole two bases, and Jones scored both he and De Los Santos, and it broke up the Tie-Ballgame at 2-2, and this gave the Greensboro Grasshoppers, their Two-Run Win on Saturday night…
The Dash now lead the Six-Game Weekly Series, 3-2, and on Sunday the Grasshoppers will be looking for a win, that would give them a split in the series…RHP Bryan Mena ready to go/throw for the Hoppers on Sunday, while the Dash will look to their RHP Justin Sinibaldi to lead them on the hill…
On Saturday evening, Carlson Reed toed the rubber for the Hoppers and Reed gave the Greensboro Grasshoppers six strong innings from his starting role, and the righty Reed gave up 2 Runs, on 4 Hits, with 2 BBs/5 Ks…In from the pen, Hung-Leng Chang got the Hoppers’ win, and Chang went 2 2/3s Innings, and he allowed 0 Runs, on 2 Hits, with 0 BBs/5 Ks…Chang got the Win, but Jacob Bimbi came on to record the last out of the contest for the Hoppers, as he struck out Bryce Eblin, to end all the action…BimbiMania, turned into HopperMania, as the Grasshoppers were able to knock off their arch-rival, the WS Dash, for the second time this week…
We went with Jared Jones and Hung-Leng Chang as our REMAX Revolution Players of the Game, but we could have easily added Carlson Reed and Jacob Bimbi to that list, as their roles were key in the win on Saturday night…
For the game, Brian Sanchez was the Grasshoppers overall leading hitter going 2-2, with a Double, and he drew a Walk, and added in an RBI…Sanchez 2-2, then Tony Blanco Jr. was 2-3, with a Double, and a Run Scored…Shalin Polanco was tough, as he went 1-3/Triple/Run/RBI…Axiel Plaz goes 1-3/BB…Plus we had Jared Jones, 1-4/HR/2 RBI…Yordany De Los Santos was 0-3/BB/Run/2 SB…And that pretty much covers the Hoppers offense from Saturday night…
It was really neat, and sweet, to see the Greensboro Grasshoppers win the game, with that Two-Out, Two-Run Home Run, in the Bottom of the Eighth Inning, and that sent all the fans home with a Winner, on Memorial Weekend…
WS Dash reliever Morris Austin took the loss for the Dash, and he worked Two Innings, giving up 2 Runs, on 3 Hits, with 1 BB/3 Ks, and Morris gave up that Game-Winning Home Run to Jared Jones…Jake Curtis turned in 3 Innings from the Dash bullpen, and Curtis kind of hurt us, striking out 6 Hopper batters…
No Homers from the Dash on Saturday night, and the top Dash hitters were Grant Magill, who went 2-4/Run, and George Wolkow, and he was 2-4/RBI…
The Dash dropped/lost the game to the Greensboro Grasshoppers, and the WS Dash also lost three key members of their team, due to Ejections….
Ejections:Dash shortstop Kyle Lodise ejected by HP umpire Jose Sandoval (7th); Dash manager Guillermo Quiroz ejected by 1B umpire Patrick Goode (8th); Dash pitching coach Jacob Dorris ejected by 1B umpire Patrick Goode (9th)….Of the three, Dash manager, Guillermo Quiroz really got his money’s worth, when he got tossed standing out there at second base, and arguing with Base Umpire, Patrick Goode…
So it was a cold Saturday for the ballgame at First National Bank Field, but there was some heat about the ballpark on Saturday, and it might get warm again, on Sunday for Game Six of the series…When the Hoppers Yordany De Los Santos drew his Walk, in the Bottom of the Eighth Inning, he had at least three pitches that came close to his body, and he was jumping back to avoid getting hit, at the plate…And then when De Los Santos proceeded to steal second base, after his Base-on-Balls, that is when the Dash skipper Quiroz erupted…
So it is looking more and more, like there is No Love Lost, between the Hoppers and the Dash….
