Southwest Guilford High School is introducing their new baseball coach tonight at 6 pm at Coggins Gym.
Shaughn Neal has been hired as our new coach to replay Reid Holmes.
Shaughn is a native of Charlotte playing his high school baseball at East Meck HS. After high school, Shaughn attended Wingate University, starting at 2nd baseball for all 4 years and was team captain in 2007. After college Coach Neal had a brief stop professionally with the Reno Silver Sox’s.
His coaching journey started at East Chapel Hill HS for four seasons, 3 seasons as Head Coach for Carrboro HS, brief stops at both Laney HS and Greensboro Day School as an assistant coach, head coach at Bethany Charter and most recently at Caldwell Academy.
We are excited to welcome Shaughn and his family to The Ranch and to lead our Cowboy baseball program.
