The other high school sports teams can start their practices on Wednesday too, so look for the area high schools to be very busy again, starting on Wednesday July 29…
Will be working to get by some of the practices and hope to catch up with many of our high school football coaches, before the season begins for real, with the First Games, on Friday August 21….
HS Football Key Season Dates:
First Practice: July 29, 2026
Practice Rules Conditioning period: The initial days require helmets, shorts, and shoulder pads with strictly zero body-to-body contact. Full contact: Full uniforms and contact are permitted only after completing the mandatory conditioning progression.
First Scrimmage / Contest: August 7, 2026
Week 1 Regular Season: August 21, 2026
First Round Playoffs: November 6, 2026
