    Caldwell Academy Alumni-Samford Volleyball

    Former Caldwell Academy student/athlete & alumni. Sophia Plasman, ( ’22 ) helped the Samford Bulldogs, a member of the Southern Conference, Women’s Volleyball team qualify for the 2022 NCAA National Championship. The team finished with a record of 19W–12L, won the conference with a record of 11W–5L & then the Conference Tournament, by beating The Citadel 3–2,, Western Carolina 3–2 & Furman in the championship game 3–0.     The Caldwell Academy EAGLES Volleyball team ( # 3 seed in the WEST ) have advanced to the NCISAA 2A Final Four with their 3–0 win on 23 OCT over # 2 seed from the East, Trinity Academy. This is Coach Bo’s 7th FINAL FOUR appearance having done it in 2014,,2015,,2016,,2017,, 2018,, 2020 & now 2021.     Caldwell Academy Volleyball Milestone

    Caldwell Academy Varsity Volleyball team defeated Calvary Day School 3-0 by scores of 25–22,, 25-11,, & 25-18. The highlight of this match was Student/Athlete Sophia Plasman, SR. broke the career kill record of 1,142 held by Hannah Hulsman, (co ’19 ). The new record is 1,144. This number will increase as Caldwell has at least 4-7 games left to play depending on the number of games to be played in the state championship. Sophia will play collegiately at Samford University.
