Former N.C. State and Eastern Guilford HS wide receiver Torry Holt was named to the College Football Hall of Fame this week, and while Holt was posting 1,000 yards and 100-reception receiving seasons with N.C. Eastern Guilford’s Torry Holt(North Carolina State) and Bobby Hedrick(Elon) are both on the ballot for the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame… Hedrick with 5,604 career rushing yards, #2 behind Anthony/Tony Dorsett at Pittsburgh and Hedrick’s Elon teams won two NAIA Football National Champsionships… Torry Holt had 3,379 career receiving yards at N.C. State and he was the 1998 ACC Player of the Year…Holt is N.C. State’s all-time leading receiver….
