The Boys are Back in Town

Pro Wrestling Returns to the Gate City Saturday Night

ACW Professional Wrestling returns to Greensboro this Saturday Night. The Special Events Center (2523 Phillips Ave.) on Phillips Ave. will once again be the host venue for a night of action packed wrestling. The last ACW event in Greensboro was a huge success and Tim Blaze and Company promise that this upcoming event will be even better. Highlighting Saturday Night’s card is a “Triple Threat Match” for the ACW U.S. Title featuring Bam, Jack Spade and Bobby Fulton. Other matches include the ACW Eastern Title bout between Scrap Yard Dog and Jose Sanchez, a handicap match with Scotty Matthews facing Bounty Hunter and Seven and an 8-Man Tag Team free-for-all. Bell time is 7:30 pm. General Admission tickets will be available at the door for $8.00 each.
As before, the kids from the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club will be on hand to take in all the action. The kids will come from both the Central Unit on Neal Street and the unit based at Claremont Courts. Area sponsors have again stepped up to the plate to make the kid’s trip possible.
Speaking of the Boys and Girls Club, the staff of GreensboroSports.com was in house Wednesday Night at the Carousel Theatre on Battleground Ave. for a screening of films and documentaries made by club members with the assistance of the UNCG Broadcasting Department. Among those who played a big part in making the films included Greensboro Grasshoppers video man, Ryan and B&G Club Central Unit Director, Mr. Macha. We look forward to seeing more of these kids creative endeavors in the future.
GreensboroSports.com will have complete coverage of Saturday Night’s grappling action early next week.
