Friday night our WPET AM950 broadcast game will be Northeast versus Eastern Guilford at UNCG and we will have updates on Grimsley at Northwest.
                         Boys Hoops Poll
#1) Greensboro Day School(The 8-0 Johnny Thomas-led Bengals have been off this week for exams and they are back in action Friday at North Raleigh Christian)
#2) Dudley(The Panther boys at 4-0 have also been quiet this week but they face Bartlett Yancey on Friday. Belton and Chavis are the Dudley Doctors)
#3) High Point Central(The Bison are going to be hard to stop in the Metro 4-A but they might just find North Forsyth up to the challenge. Black Bison at 4-1, only loss a close one to Dudley and are led by Jermaine Armstrong)
#4) Northeast Guilford(The Rams and their local hero Mezie Uzochukwu are now 7-0 and they face EG on Friday. Last outing 20 points and 11 rebounds for Uza in win over Western)
#5) Ragsdale(The Tigers are 8-1 after Wednesday night’s win over Eastern Randolph and are led by Jay Canty)

#7) High Point Andrews(The Raiders dropped a tough one, 64-60, to unbeaten Trinity on Wednesday and at 2-2, HPA could be making some moves up in the polls soon)
#8) Grimsley(The Whirlies fell hard to High Point Central but they have a chance at Metro 4-A redemption on Friday at Northwest and GHS led by Marlon Smith must not fall far below .500{currently 3-4}Â or they could be in big trouble)
                    Girls Hoops Poll
#1) Grimsley( I have watched this team play so many games this year I feel like I should own part of the team. At 8-0 there’s no place to go but up and they will face a very solid Northwest team at NWG on Friday and Trumae Lucas and her WhirlieGirl teammates will need to be up to overcome the Vikings coached by Darlene Joyner)
#2) Dudley(Sierra Little’s senior season could be a big one for the 4-1 Panthers, fresh off a victory over Rockingham County on Tuesday)
#3) Page(The Pirates led Alexis Neal buried East Forsyth 61-32Â on Tuesday and at 7-0, they should be 8-0 after Friday’s game at winless Smith)
#4) Northeast Guilford(The Rams and their star Mercedes King have beaten Northwest and Southwest in the past week and just brushed off Western 40-21 on Tuesday behind MK’S 20 points and 8 boards to improve to 4-2 on the year. Only NEG losses were to Grimsley and Page)
#5) Northwest Guilford(Asha Hardaway leads the Vikings who just knocked off the North Forsyth Vikings on Tuesday 65-29 behind 23 from Hardaway and now NWG will host #1 Grimsley on Friday)
#6) Ragsdale(The Tigers fell to 6-3 after Wednesday’s loss to Trinity. Danielle Duncan has been the top Tiger so far this season)
#7) High Point Central(The Bison are 5-2 and still trying to recover from the beat-down they took at Grimsley on Tuesday. Allison Spivey will be the go-to girl this year and look for the entire HPC Carter-coached club to be strong around playoff time)
#8) Southwest Guilford(The SWG Cowgirls are 4-2 and Paris Best is their best player. We welcome SWG to our poll for the first time this year as they just defeated Asheboro 63-44 on Tuesday)Â
