The high school piece of the week, “Are the Grimsley football players Stupid?”, is still going strong a few pages back at greensborosports.com. We have had several good comments and hope that you will go back and weigh in again.
We find out today that at least 2 Grimsley assistant coaches have quit and that the Whirlies were put on probation. Full story at www.news-record.com
We have heard from Jim, Jeff, the Gra8ful coach and many others this week and the word out of Culler’s Store in High Point is that the High Point Andrews job is still up for grabs.(the Culler’s Store owner wants to bring back Craig Gill)
Someone was asking who the Smith football coach was and he hasn’t checked in yet. The guy took over last year mid-way through the year, was a Smith grad from back in the Bostic brothers era, and had been coaching as an assistant at either Page or Grimsley right before he took on the Smith job.
Keep the comments coming and we may break this case yet.
Help me out here, but I believe the Smith AD is Charlie Barnes and the football coach is Oakley. Don’t know the first name it may be Jon Oakley.
