The first GREENSBOROSports.com basketball polls of the year are here and it is time to get it in gear. I saw ten games last week and so far this week I have caught two HS games and one recreation game at the Pleasant Garden Gym.

#9)Western Guilford(5-2) New coach Art Wade has the Hornets headed in the right direction even though they lost last night to Asheboro 64-52.
#10)Eastern Guilford(3-3) Lost last time out to Northern but the Wildcats will be OK with Mark Jernigan leading the way.
#11)Smith(2-3) The Eagles miss Seth Hawkins but Omari Hunt and Avery Hardy are trying to hold things together for first-year coach Gene Banks. They host Dudley on Friday night.

#13)Northwest Guilford(1-5) You hope things might get better for coach Mike Everette.
#14)High Point Wesleyan(7-3) The Tojans with James Robbins and Josh Coble might be ready to put the jump on some of our public schools. Keep an eye on this team, defeated Durham Academy 53-49 last Friday.
#15)Southwest Guilford(1-4) Went down hard 61-46 at the hands of NEG on Tuesday night.
#16)Southeast Guilford(1-7) The Falcons dropped a one-point game that they had won with East Davidson on Wednesday and they may be facing more of the same in the coming weeks.

  1. Hello Andy hope all is well….. Just want to say that you are doing a wonderful job on keeping the sports world updated ……. Grimsley is playing the best basketball i have seen them play in a long time with JB Beloved playing good basketball along with Junior Center of Keith Manley and the Senior play of Christian Tonkins and David Dupont.. They play very good defense swarming around the ball and causing turnovers and scoring at will……. Coach Corbett and the staff is doing a real good job in keeping these young mens focus……
