Friday night at Grimsley High School the home standing Whirlies took a pair from the visiting Reidsville Rams. In the girls game the Lady Whirlies ran their record to 13-0 with an emphatic 68-17 decision. Nicole Hargraves had 12 and Kristin Fields and Amber Cook chipped in 10 each to pace a balanced Grimsley attack.
In the boys battle a 16-0 run that bridged both halves gave Grimsley a double digit working margin as the Whirlies built an 18 point 2nd half lead en route to a 69-59 decision. Keith Marley and Jaquan Beloved both had 16 to lead the Whirlies as four player for Grimsley scored in double figures. Grimsley with the win moves to a surprising 10-3 on the season.
