Paul Pro Pigskins Prognostications week 10

Last week 8-6, 86-46 for the season.

This week….

Denver @ Cleveland: Brady Quinn makes his first start and the weak Broncos defense is probably not a bad outfit to begin your stint with. Denver comes off on paper as the team with more firepower but coming off a short week and being on the road is just going to be too much for the Broncos to overcome. Cleveland 28 Denver 23

New Orleans @ Atlanta: The Falcons just are not going to go away. But the Saints coming off a bye week and in desperate need of a win are the pick here. New Orleans 27 Atlanta 21

Tennessee @ Chicago: The Bears have injury issues and it looks like Rex Grossman is back in the seat at QB. In spite of this I do think the Bears are the ones who will allow the 1972 Dolphins to go ahead and crack open the champagne. Tennessee has been living dangerously all season, this is the week it catches up. Chicago 20 Tennessee 17

Jacksonville @ Detroit: If our new president wants to come up with new forms of torture for prisoners at Guantanamo, watching this game should top the list. Jacksonville 24 Detroit 21

Seattle @ Miami: A poor history when traveling east, plus another week of Seneca Wallace coupled with a dose of Dolphins defense and ball control equals a long day for Seattle. Miami 26 Seattle 14

Green Bay @ Minnesota: This one is huge for both teams as both are trying to keep pace with the Bears. Home teams over the years have dominated this series, that trend continues. Vikings 21 Packers 16

Buffalo @ New England: The winner here gets the inside track to the AFC east title. Much as the Bills started the season solidly they have started to fade. New England on the other hand is starting to get a 2nd wind as Matt Cassell continues to settle. New England is not going to the Super Bowl this season but I feel this will be a statement game to show they are still top god in the division. Pats 24 Bills 13

St. Louis @ NY Jets: Brett Favre has done what I did not think he could do, and that is turn the ragtag Jets into a true contender. Jets 34 Rams 20

Baltimore @ Houston: Matt Schaub is on the shelf for a month that is bad news against the uber aggressive Ravens defense. Ravens 27 Texans 13

Carolina @ Oakland: The Raiders cannot possibly go lower but they will not be able to rise up enough to knock off a Panthers team that has the look of a team on a mission. Panthers 28 Raiders 17

Indianapolis @ Pittsburgh: The Colts continue to struggle and it will not get any easier against a Steelers team that looked to be firing on all cylinders Monday night in the scalping of the Skins.
Steelers 27 Colts 17

Kansas City @ San Diego: The Chargers are the biggest disappointment in the league, but the Cheifs are possibly the worst team in football. Chargers 35 Chiefs 17

NY Giants @ Philadelphia: The Eagles are surging back into the playoff picture. A win at home to gain a game on the division leaders would give them a huge jolt and with Westbrook healthy I see them getting it. Eagles 23 Giants 20

San Francisco @ Arizona: This is the nationwide debut for the new look Cardinals. San Fran however looks to be in perpetual reruns. Cards 31 49ers 14
