Southwest Guilford Cowgirls making some moves after big win over Eastern Guilford

Eastern Guilford had their 15 game winning streak snapped by 4A opponent whom they
beat earlier Southwest Guilford 68-45 in a non conference game matchup.

Soutwest Guilford jumped out to an early lead an maintained it through out the game. Eastern made a run to close the gap to 9 points entering the fourth quarter 39-53. Southwest which were led by Shanel Lawrence 22 points and Zena Lovette kept Eastern at bay by scoring in key moments.

Capricia Small led the Wildcats with 14 points and Miranda Jenkins added 8 points whom had to sit out the remaining six minutes of the fourth quarter with a severe leg cramp. Southwest Guilford improved its record to 10-8 and Eastern are now 15-2 and 7-0 in conference play.

  1. that was just a fluke by the EG girls they played a tough game the night before vs easter alamance and that was there third game that week…

  2. It was not a fluke. SW is alot better team than EG. Sw is peaking with wins over HP Central,Northwest and EG. They got the big girl Chyanne Parker back who dropped 18 vs NW. This team is legit. maybe the best team in the area at this point.
