After a third accuser comes forward, Syracuse University finally fired
Associate Head Basketball Coach Bernie Fine based upon allegations of child
molestation. “At the direction of Chancellor Cantor, Bernie Fine’s
employment with Syracuse University has been terminated, effective
immediately,” Kevin Quinn, the school’s senior vice president for public
affairs, said in a statement.
The news coming out of Syracuse is SHOCKING!!! It has made me feel like vomiting several times. I am from Syracuse and Syracuse University sports have been my families passion our whole life. It is a shame that this creep of a man Bernie Fine can give Syracuse a bad name for his most discussing crime any man can ever do to little boys. They need to hang Bernie Fine and his wife(who is in trouble as well from the tape we heard). I firmly beleive Jimmy Boehiem did not know this crap was going on with his friend of over 40 years. Lets just think how Jimmy B feels just as a friend to hear this about the man he thought he knew so well. Bernie and wife need to go away and ESPN needs to get back to covering sports and sports only on thier network. Let law enforcement and CNN cover these horrible crimes and throw Bernie Fine and only Bernie Fine under the bus. Syracuse will survive this. Syracuse and Syracuse University had nothing to do with this.My heart goes out to the victims and their families and my thoughts and prayers. Lets get back to playing hoops and let the SU players go on and do what they do best and thats play basketball. They have a helluva team this year and I want to continue to watch them with my two kids and be proud of being a Syracuse native and Syracuse fan. Bernie Fine will not destroy this.He needs to be destroyed and he only!!!

All of this is all wrong. Until folks even at the adult level realize that boys should be with girls and girls should be with boys we will continue to have these situations no matter what the level is. Lets stop pretending that its okay for girls to be with girls and boys to be with boys in a romantic situation and then when things like this come out which is wrong we act like we are surprise. I know the ole freedom of adult choice will come into play. The homes, schools and churches try to avoid commented on these things because of fear of litigation. But you go visit a highschool or junior high and you see it every day and no one wants to say anything because the word “I am experimenting” comes into play. These adults were wrong but do not think for one instance that many of the teenagers had no idea what they were doing as well. The internet has created a whole new wave of things like this and there will be more and when money can be gained, look for more situations like these to emerged at every level. Kids are more ware than you think. Go visit a elementary, junior high or highschool. You may be surprise.
I know this is a touchy subject and there are many whom may be reading this may also think its ok for girls to be with girls and boys to be with boys and then use excuses as a way to justify such. Its never going to work out the right way in the long run.

I agree whole heartly with everything you just said. Folks are tunring their heads and then reacting when things like this appear. Watch your kids and see what type of mannerisms that they are displaying and that will tell you alot. Are you letting them know that their mannerisms are wrong and this is not the way a girl or boy acts?
