‘Senior Spotlight” on Daniel Heston from Community Baptist in Reidsville:Watching and hoping to be working closely soon with Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, N.C.

The Spotlight is starting to shine on Daniel Heston senior varsity boys player, from Community Baptist School, up in Reidsville, N.C. The CBS eye is usually on somebody else, but this time, the eyes are on Mr. Heston and we all remember the previous times, when another Mr. Heston made up his mind what he was going to do and I think the end result was something along the lineS of crossing/parting the Red Sea….

Right now, Daniel Heston is being heavily recruited by Pfeiffer University. Heston is a
6’3″ point guard with great skills, but more importantly, he has become a great
decision maker and floor leader, as the quarterback of his CBS Conquerors basketball team. One recent coach described Heston as “Pete Maravich-type” player after watching him play.

Community Baptist will be playing in the Rockingham County Christmas Tournament
December 27 & 28. Because of their school size, they’ll be playing in the JV bracket.

Right now, Heston is playing center for the team and averaging close to a
triple/double for the season. Recently, the CBS boys played in a tournament in Lexington (Sheets Memorial Christian School) that featured Shinging Light Academy, Sheets, Oak Level
and CBS and he was named MVP of the Tournament even though the Conquerors finished second!

He was a NACA (National Association of Christian Athletes) All-American
last year as the team finished 2nd in the Division V bracket of their
Tournament in Dayton, TN (the girls WON and they are the defending National Champtions).
