Westchester hit a shot with 2 seconds left and time ran out before Caldwell could call a time out. Ouch.
Girls
Westchester won in double overtime, I think by like 7. Ouch.
Wesleyan 62
Calvary Baptist 33
Starters for Wesleyan played very limited minutes and hardly played in the second half. Calvary Baptist looked like they had about six injured players not dressed out. They only played six people and the sixth man was because a player fouled out. Could be tough for them in conference play.
GDS was spectacular after the 1st quarter. Held Charlotte Christian to two points the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half and pulled away. They have the ability to shut teams down for long stretches. Reed Lucas was on fire and they got solid play from everyone else. I think its the best defensive game I have ever seen the Lucas kid play and he must have had 15-20 points as well. Margin was in the mid 20’s for a good part of the 4th quarter. Looking forward to what should be an unbelievable game in High Point friday night.
