Still can’t believe that this happened:Looking back at N.C. State-Wake from Saturday

This was kind of crazy and when you look closer at the circumstances that were surrounding this game, the fact that N.C. State beat Wake Forest 76-40 from back on Saturday and when you consider that fact that this was the second-biggest road win in the history of N.C. State basketball, you might say that this was bigger than the 33-point win by Florida State over UNC in Tallahassee, from back over the weekend…..

Why was the win by State over Wake so big you might ask? Well the part of the equation that got me looking, was the fact that N.C. State defeated Wake Forest by 36 points, in Winston-Salem, while N.C. State’s second leading scorer at right at 13 points per game, C.J. Leslie, out of Word of God Academy in Raleigh, Calvin/C.J. Leslie did not score one point in the 36-point blowout….

How often does something like that happen??? Leslie didn’t start the game due to the coach’s disciplinary decision(Mark Gottfried), but Leslie did play 17 minutes and that’s almost half the game and collected 4 rebounds to help the Pack cause, but he did not score one single point and his team still won by 36…..(Leslie goes 0-3 from the field and 0-0 at the FT line….Again, zero points.)

That’s crazy, in a crazy year in men’s ACC basketball…..You may say that Wake was pretty bad back on Saturday, or that N.C. State’s chosen players for that day were really, really, on their game, but for Leslie to not even scratch, that is crazy and then the team still wins by 36 points….

Maybe nobody else noticed this, but it sure got my attention, upon further review of the game played back on Saturday….A lot is being made of the game fron down in Tallahassee and it was crazy, but the game in Winston-Salem was a little wacky too….

A little Wacky at Wake, back on Saturday…..

Your second leading scorer on the team doesn’t even score and you still win by 36???

That’s wacky…….

  1. I thought it would be years before the wake forest basketball program would be able to play as well as the north carolina tar heels. But Saturday, they did

  2. I bet the WF coach wanted to leave his players and run like a spoiled child to this locker room…but he didn’t.
