Catawba in DII Baseball World Series today in Cary at 4pm:Underwood, Satterfield, Taylor and others…

Note on the Catawba Indians in the DII College Baseball World Series:

The Catawba NCAA II College World Series game with Delta State for Tuesday has been moved up to a 4 pm start due to weather concerns for later in the day in Cary.

Ethan Satterfield(McMichael HS) with Catawba in the Series and he is hitting .400 on the season and Brett Underwood(SW Gulford HS) checks in with an average of .325 for the Indians…..

Nick Taylor(Oak Ridge/Vandalia Christian School) was with the team earlier in the year, but I find no stats on him and Austin Moyer(Southeast Guilford) was also with Catawba at the start, but has since dropped off of the team……Both young men may have run into injury issues…..

  1. I beleive I heard that both Taylor and Moyer had tommy john issues this year.
Great to see Catawba in the world series… Good luck to them!

  2. Austin Moyer had a medical reshirt spring 2012. He had Tommy John Surgery in January and hopes to be back on the Catawba field in the fall. Thanks for asking! Good luck Catawba!!!
