The voting will take place over the Summer and the first class of the N.C. State Athletics Hall of Fame will be recognized on October 5th…Who will be in that first class??? Many of the above that I have mentioned????(David Thompson, Ted Brown, Tim Stoddard, Kay Yow, Jim Valvano, Norm Sloan, Everett Case and others(Karl Hess) in that first class???) Ten get in per class, for the first three inductions and then they will level it down to 6 inductees per class, after that….

More on the N.C. State Athletics Hall of Fame from WRALSportsFan.com:

The inaugural Hall of Fame class will be selected over the summer and will highlight the university’s greatest student-athletes, coaches and special contributors.

“Those who appreciate the achievements of NC State athletics will finally have the opportunity to appropriately recognize the individuals who have represented us so well,” said NC State director of athletics Deborah A. Yow. “We anticipate a sold-out event at historic Reynolds Coliseum in October.”

  1. If you have to choose between Ted Brown and Torry Holt for that first class who do you take???? Could become a tough decision and that is a big-way Guilford County move….Ted Brown(High Point Andrews) and Torry Holt(Eastern Guilford), plus you have Kay Yow from Gibsonville too and that is more Guilford County influence down in Raleigh…..

  2. Karl Hess, Hank Nichols, and Lenny Wertz should all be in the UNC Hall of Fame as many games as they have helped the Heels win through the years.

  3. Gugs & Corch would get my vote for the biggest mouths hall of fame. Be relevant and earn some respect it is not
just given to someone boys. Your programs suck year after year.

  4. Heard today on the radio that only Everett Case, Kay Yow and David Thompson would get in first class….I got no problem with them, but what about others too???

Those radio guys must have been smokin Tobaccky Road Remains…..
