Carolina Acceleration High School Baseball/Softball Today:Looks OK, but will they get to play?

Looks OK out there today, but will they get to play, if the SUN decides to stay???

Looks pretty good out there right now, but did some the fields get too much rain on Monday and will that cause some teams to opt out today and move games to other dates?

Who all is playing today???

Here is the tentative schedule for Baseball Today/Tonight:

*****Big one here too and ‘Game of the Day’ candidate, Burlington Williams at Western Alamance 7pm*****

Greensboro Day at High Point Christian Academy 4:30pm
North Surry at Bishop 4pm
High Point Andrews at WS Atkins 5pm in a game that the Red Raiders will favored in..
Glenn at High Point Central 6pm…This one has big game written all over it..Who is on the mound for the Bison?
McMichael at Northern Guilford 6pm….Big Mid-State 3-A contest since NG just tripped up Western Alamance last Friday night and MAC has Landon Biggs and he should be big in a big-game setting….
Dudley at Page 7pm….Pitchers are rested and you go for the conference win…Who gets the call?
Northeast Guilford at Ledford 7pm….NEG and Ledford went down to the wire last season in the MPC, and Ledford actually won at NEG and NEG gets the chance to win at LED..
Northwest Guilford at WS Parkland 7pm…NWG still smarting from that loss last Friday night at RAGS and now they will turn it up and take it out on PARK…
Rockingham County at Eastern Guilford 7pm…Wildcats need win bad to still in the playoff hunt…
Southeast Guilford at Western Guilford 7pm…Couple of the best games we saw last year when Nino Marrero took down SEG at Southeast and then he almost did it again to the Falcons at WG…Is Marrero avail today, he worked last, last Friday night at DUDLEY..SEG has a very young, but very good team….They have horses that play like Falcons….Ezzell, Greene, or Canada, that is like having to choose from and face Palmer, Dobson or Cuellar…
Southern Alamance at Grimsley 7pm…SA is in the driver’s seat in the Metro 4-A and they have not lost a conference game to my recollection, at not this season…Beat WG, Dudley and PAGE last week….Grimsley, do you have something for the Patriots…They don’t have Tom Brady, but they may be ready to bring in Ike Brady or you know, Alex Durham might be ready to come to Greensboro and pitch again tonight…
Southern Guilford at North Forsyth 7pm…Camden Ball, Evan Edwards, Taylor Sugg and the Hedrick looking to help carry the Storm and they have Noah(Carter) and Noah was famous for weathering the Storms over the years…He took one on back in BC, and people are still talking about today….Who was that Alex kid that NF had a few years back??? Think he played for Carolina now he is on the field for Seattle…..
Southwest Guilford at East Forsyth 7pm….Could turn out to be one of the top games of the day, depending on who SWG has on the hill…SWG over Glenn last Friday night, 8-6 and EF wants that top spot in the PTA and they have this Scudder and Zack/Zac/Zach is a good one….
Westchester Country Day at Caldwell Academy 7pm…Last year this one was extra-huge and we were there for it, but this year WCD is loaded for Bear and they won’t mind loading up on Eagle either…..

  1. Rumor is that SW Guilford has suffered another player loss- short term. Matt (DOC) Dale apparentley has or has had mono and will be out for a little while. Times keep getting tougher at SW

  2. SA at Grimsley moved to tomorrow night. EG game that was Wednesday will be rescheduled.

Might have to sneak over and visit 77Hornet tonight. Have some hamburgers tonight…would ya?

  3. Strong bats and another big pitching performance by the freshmen pitching duo (Emily Chaisson and Gracen Staunton) lead the Lady Vikings to a 19-0 victory over W-S Parkland. NWG now 4-1 in PT4A conference play.

  4. @NWGSoftball, congratulations on your victory over powerhouse softball program Parkland. I am sure your daughter is one of “the freshman pitching duo” either Emily or Gracen. If you want to get her name out there, mention it after you beat a real program. It will have credibility.

  5. JV Final (5 Innings)

WP- Bailey Steed threw a no hitter with 11 or 12 K’s
Falcons led at the plate by Tommy Michaels, Forest Brothers, and Dustin Richardson

  6. HPC 8
    Glenn 6
    WP HButler 4 2/3 10k (I think)
    S TGay
    LP ZHodges

    Luke Bean 2-3, 3b, 1b, 2rbi
    Zack McLean 2-3, 2b, 1b, 2rbi
    Colin Fowler 2-3, 2b, RBI
    4 others with 1 hit

  7. Good job to all the teams out there and especially to the NWG girls softball team…

Good job Vikings and don’t let anything you read or hear get you down…

Your hard work will pay off and deserve to be congratulated no matter who you play and defeat…

I’m sure Parkland felt like they were somebody going into the game and NWG freshmen, good job on the hill tonight….

Players are workinng hard no matter who they and deserve to get some credit for what they did today and for they did to get to today….

    Keep up the hard work…
