Greensboro Grasshoppers win Game One at Kannapolis tonight/Hoppers drop Game Two, 4-2

The Hoppers take Game One of their doubleheader with the Kannapolis Intimidators, 2-1 tonight, down in Kannapolis and Game Two should be in progress….7-inning games this evening due to the doubleheader format….

Daniel Oliver, from last year’s 2012 squad, is back with the team and he got the start and went five innings…..Frank Reed came on in relief and he got the win and he just ran his record to (2-0) with the victory….

Cody Keefer, Yordy Cabrera, Matt Juengel, Anthony Gomez and Tony Caldwell with one hit each to pace the Greensboro offense, in the 2-1 finish…..

Kannapolis takes Game Two, 4-2 from the Hoppers and Helpi Reyes is saddled with the loss and he is now (0-2)….Only five hits for Hoppers, just like in Game One and the offense is going to have to pick it up, if the Grasshoppers hope to mount a charge in the first half of the Sally/South Atlantic League season….Again, 4-2 Intimidators in Game Two tonight…..
