***#89 puts it all on the line***News coming in from Carolina Panthers Camp[Steve Smith on Ric Flair]: “The Golden State Bridge has been burned”

Big playoff game coming up this Sunday, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and the ‘Ric Flair Feeling’ is starting to play into how the Carolina Panthers are feeling about Ric and his connections to the San Francisco 49ers, with the very importnat playoff game fast-approaching…..

from Tom Sorenson with ‘Tom Talk’ at the Charlotte Observer, who has been following these develpoments ever so-closely:

Ric Flair says the players on the Carolina Panthers’ team he’s closest with are Cam Newton and Steve Smith.

Tom Sorenson asked Smith Monday if he saw the video, released by the WWE, in which Flair gave a pep talk to the San Francisco 49ers.

“Hmmmm,” Smith said. “As a guy who actually has a Ric Flair robe, I’m real disappointed in seeing that. Real disappointed.”

And now?

“I’m not sure if he’ll (Flair) get the invite here,” says Smith. “That Golden State Bridge has been burned.”

Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn was less angry.

“I’m sure they gave him a little money,” says Munnerlyn. “But, no, I don’t feel beytrayed. We(The Carolina Panthers) said the WOOOOOO! chant and they (the 49ers) brought him in. At the end of the day it’s a football game going to be played. It’s not about Ric Flair, it’s not about wrestling, it’s about playing football Sunday at 1:05.”

Tom Sorenson has this topic covered like a ‘field tarp’…..Read all and more from Tom when you CLICK HERE and this is a very important read with the ‘BIG’ playoff game coming up this Sunday in Charlotte at the Bank of America Stadium……

  1. I know Ric Flair is a North Carolina icon. We even had one of his old belts given out as a trophy when we did an alumni football game between Pisgah and Tuscola alumni (Pisgah won BTW).
However, I assume that Ric Flair doesn’t have Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson money. I’m sure that if somebody brought him in, paid him a small honorarium, and took care of his incidentals, most guys would do the same.
