American Legion Post 8 travelled to South Rowan last night and won 18-7. Post 8 had 20 hits in the win, led by Christian Dix, who went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a single, and a walk, driving in 5 runs. Post 8 is now 10-5 on the season. Marcus Shoemaker had a double and two stolen bases in the win.
Tonight Post 8 is at home at historic Holt-Moffitt field in Lexington where they again play South Rowan. The game can be heard online at WLXN – KOOL 1440AM & 99.9FM Lexington, NC.
Richmond Sr goes down to West Forsyth 6 to 4. 2 throwing errors with bases loaded cost Richmond 2 and 3 = 5 runs.
