  1. Don’t know of any details, but not as hot today as most of the days have been recently, but the humidity was as high as it could be this morning without it starting to explode rain…Very humid morning and you hate all of this for the young girl’s family and all of her friends, as she never got to go to high school or be in those athletic events as she lost her life before the first day of school in her 9th grade year…

Southern Guilford coaches, community and family will take this hard and this is going to be a tough weekend coming up for all of them…

Got to keep them all in the thoughts and prayers from the GreensboroSports community…

  2. Thoughts and prayers for the Brown family.

    What a tragic loss.

Thoughts and prayers also for the SG students and community

  4. Let me just state this: I know the Southern Guilford coach. He does everything the right way. He puts his athletes first over winning and he still is highly successful. We, as cross country coaches are very saddened by the loss of Allison. She would have been one to really elevate Southern to even greater success. I sincerely hope that Coach H continues to coach the cross country program at Southern. He is one first class individual and I really hate that this has happened to his team.

  5. The loss of an athlete is devastating. Cross Country is a unique sport as it has a way of creating a “family unit” and strong bonds. With that said, I know The SG Cross Country Team including the coaches are devastated and stricken with grief. I’ve known Coach H for several years and have the utmost respect him. I know Allison would’ve excelled under his direction. He has done wonders for that team. Allison’s family, SGHS Cross Country team and Coach H are in my thoughts and prayers.
