LEX(2-1)/Smith(0-1)…LP:Downey Richmond…Smith was down 14-1 and then the Eagles rallied make it 14-7 at the end of three innings and the Lexington Yellow Jackets went into the stinger mode and they put the Smith Golden Eagles down and finished them off in 4 Innings tonight at Ben L. Smith High School…Smith still trying to find themselves and the Golden Eagles did battle back and they were leaving men on base and that shows that were getting men on, they just have to find a way to push those runs/runners across the plate…Smith did not have any pre-season scrimmages, so this was their first time on the field in real-time tonight…There was rain and it was cold and I was out there in shorts, but I did have my trusty umbrella and that helped fight off that cold nasty rain and the restroom was good between innings to warm up with the hand dryer and just keep it running and warm up those hands and arms…Back to action for Ben L. Smith on Friday as they get set to take on the Camels from Winston-Salem Atkins….
