  1. Looks like you have a mid print as GDS girls record is 15-14 not 15-13 I must say what a disappointment this season for those girls I wish GDS would have not lossed the experience coach they could have had. I tell you that is one that should not have gotten away.

  2. GDS girls record is 15-14 not 15-13. That team was such a disappointment this year GDS made a huge mistake in letting an experienced coach get away and having to settle for a coach with no experience. Very sad year

  3. The school site has them at Record: 15-13 and that is from http://www.greensboroday.org and MaxPreps does have the Lady Bengals at (15-14) and we will adjust…The school site may be in updating mode…

Good year for the girls in many regards, winning record and good Senior Night sendoff for Gloria Smith…And with Brady back, Brewington back, Murdock back and quite a few others back, the team should be back strong too….Chole Brewington will compete night-in and night-out as hard any player around….She takes it pretty darn serious and I know the other kids do too…

Good luck to the Lady Bengals and good luck in the future to Gloria Smith, she has been there and worked hard….

  4. Gentlemen,
GDS girls are much better this year. Records don’t always tell the entire story. Senior night was success for both teams at GDS.

Gloria Smith put on a show last night. Sorry you guys missed it. She could start at any school in the triad. Ask any area coach. Imagine her at Northern or Southwest. In addition, she’s the most under appreciated player in Greensboro and a great kid.

JP, Solomon, Pierce, and Jordan had a great final regular season home game. Dunks, amazing drives, and timely 3’s. Fun to watch them play together. Freddy’s program develops players into respectable young men. Playoffs will be exciting.

  6. @dan Johnson

GDS girls may be 15-13 or 15-14 but they have had a very tough schedule. Playing teams such as Providence Day, Davidson Day, Ravenscroft to name a few. This is not a disappointment. The coaching change was a blessing in disguise. It was not the schools decision but the coach. Coach Miller stepped up and his Asst. coaches are very dedicated to the team and spending time with college coaches on how to improve. Unfortunately, the team has had a few players that have suffered some injuries throughout the season, and that definitely has made an impact. The girls have had each other’s back the entire season and the coaches have been very supportive as well. The coaches have also had the girls active in your community which is life lessons that go beyond basketball court. So Mr. Johnson not sure where your are getting that the season was disappointment but that isn’t the case with the girls or any of parents on the team.
