Look for Cameron Cotter(11-1) going/throwing Game One for Northern Guilford and then JC Ouzts(7-2/4 Saves), ready to go in Game Two, at Topsail….

Game One at Northern Guilford and the series switches to Topsail for Game Two, and if a Game Three is necessary, it will be played back at Northern Guilford….

Cotter with 74 Innings of work for the Nighthawks, giving up 8 runs on 32 hits with 7 of the 8 runs Earned, plus Cotter has issued just 10 walks vs. 111 K’s/ERA of 0.66…..Cotter with 1 Wild Pitch(933 pitches thrown) and he has hit three batters, while the opposition is batting .140 vs. Cotter….

Ouzts with 62 2/3’s Innings thrown, giving up 17 runs on 31 hits with 13 Earned runs, plus has walked 17 batters and struck out 98, with 8 Wild Pitches(865 thrown) and 3 Hit Batters, plus the opposing teams are hitting .143 vs. Ouzts….Ouzts’ ERA sits at 1.45…….

  1. When Josh first went down, the hope was he would be back by the Third Round of the playoffs and that is this week.

    He needs to be right to return and if he is not ready he will not go….Arm needs to be in great shape to return to the mound and he has a bright future ahead of him and no need to put that at risk,,,

    Josh is doing a very good job helping his team with his bat and the kid can hit, even if he isn’t available to pitch….Very impressive at the plate, as of late….

    The old one-two of Cotter and Ouzts has been clicking quite well and sticking with that approach could well be the key to victory…

    Now if you hit a Game Three, you may want to turn to Joe Millwee and Bryant Carrey has some innings under his belt this year/season too….
