High School Basketball Tonight(2/15/2022) Finals:Two Outstanding First Round Tournament Games Tonight at Page HS(More Scores)

Metro 4-A Round One Tournament Finals from the Mac Morris Gym:
Northwest Guilford girls 38, Page 36
The NWG girls did not take a lead in this game until there was less than a minute to play in the game, and Maslyn Mosbacher, from Northwest Guilford High School, willed her team to victory….She was carrying both teams(NWG and Page) on her back, and she’s a little kid, but Mosbacher plays like she is in college…That is how hard that kid plays, and she was there for her fellow Vikings tonight…Mosbacher with three points in the first half, and then she finishes with 20 points for the game…And her offense doesn’t begin to justify how hard this kid plays on defense….And she is running the club most of the time out front, on the offense…
End of the First Quarter:Page 9, NWG 6…End of the First Half:Page 20, NWG 15…End of the Third Quarter:Page 26, NWG 25…Final:NWG 38, NWG 36
NWG scoring:Maslyn Mosbacher 20 points, Madison Young 8, Bel Varadi 4, Julia Humphrey 3, Kara Rumple 3…
Page scoring:Candice Williams 15 points, Anna Schmedes 7, Melanie Niebitsie-Livingston 7, Kennedy Leggett 3, Hattie Sloyan 2, Sutton Sherrill 2…

Northwest Guilford boys 67, Page 62
NWG lost to Page, 68-39, at Page back on Saturday, and the Vikings come in tonight, and fall behind 9 points at the end of the first quarter, and they were down by as many as 12 in quarter number one…But NWG started hitting their three’s and the Vikes ended up with 14 made three’s for the game…Page with 6 made three’s for the game…NWG Conner Ballou with three 3’s, Jackson Hartzell with three 3’s, Drew Watkins with three 3’s and Aiden Eller with three 3’s, and then there was Jaylen Cross with two 3’s…That Drew Watkins played a heck of a game for Northwest tonight, might have been the best game, I have ever seen him play…
End of First Quarter:Page 19, NWG 10…Halftime:NWG 33, Page 32…End of Third Quarter:NWG 49, Page 44…Final:NWG 67, Page 62
NWG scoring:Conner Ballou 17 points, Jaylen Cross 16, Drew Watkins 11, Jackson Hartzell 9, Aiden Eller 9, Wyatt Harbaugh 5
Page scoring:Jerron Blackwell 21 points, Josh Scovens 13, Tyler McIntyre 10, Devontay Deloatch 7, Grady Sherrill 3, Mailk Maberson 3, Camden Pinnix 3, Blake McGowan 2

Two of the best Round One Tournament games that I have ever seen…Outstanding efforts from Northwest Guilford to go into the Mac Morris Gym and grab those two victories tonight…Maslyn Mosbacher, and whoever taught the NWG boys to hit those three’s are our players of the game…And Page played some excellent basketball too…Page was tough, and NWG had to work their tails off to come out there with wins this evening…

NWG boys at Grimsley on Thursday, and NWG girls at Northern Guilford on Thursday….Again, NWG and Page kids, two outstanding Round One Tournament Games Tonight….Coach Hackett, Coach Johnson, Coach Reavis, Coach Fancourt, all of you coaches worked it to the MAX tonight….You can listen to the NWG-Page/Page-NWG games on replay at GreensboroSports Radio…Games are on playback there now, on GreensboroSports Radio….
