Interview with Randleman Tigers’ NCHSAA 2-A Baseball State Champions coach, Jake Smith(Southern Guilford HS/East Carolina/Oakland A’s)

Talking with Jake Smith today, while down at Southern Guilford High School…This is Jake’s old high school, where he played baseball for Charlie Gamble III, and for Jeff Carter…Jake played college baseball for the East Carolina Pirates, and Link Jarrett(Notre Dame Fighting Irish) was his assistant coach at ECU…Jake was drafted and played in the minor league baseball system for the Oakland Athletics..

Jake Smith, as the head baseball coach for the Randleman Tigers, just led his team to their second consecutive NCHSAA 2-A Baseball State Title….Not bad for the young man who used to play baseball on the diamond down at the Pleasant Garden Community Center, and at other nice stops along the way, in our local community…

CLICK ON BELOW for our talk with Jake Smith, a young coach on rise, and his ceiling is getting higher, every day….
