On an interesting note, we received this yesterday from Derrick Johnson, the former head baseball coach at Ben L. Smith High School, and the former head girls basketball coach at Reidsville High School, and Coach Derrick Johnson has worn many coaching hats around here, over the years….And one of his former coaches really wore a hat that fit:
My former Baseball coach was on that 1955 Wake Forest baseball national championship team, Luke McKeel, from Page High School…..
Luke Mckeel was my High School Baseball Coach.
Must admit the man was a good baseball coach.
VERY GOOD
He made sure you knew the entire game.
Practice was always a learning experience.
He was better than my college coach
