Funeral this morning for Don Tilley’s wife, Charlotte Tilley, and the service was held at the Guilford Memorial Park on West Gate City Blvd. Don Tilley worked with the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department for over 40 years, he has been with the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball organization working as a the scoreboard operator now for several years, and has broadcast games with us on GreensboroSports Radio for the past five years…Don Tilley very active in the local Greensboro Sports community, and his wife was a local Page High School graduate….

Charlotte Ann Sims Tilley was born February 27, 1959, to the late Frances E Sims and Margie Hess Sims in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Charlotte departed this earth and transitioned on with the Lord on March 13, 2024. Charlotte graduated from Page High School. To know Charlotte was to love Charlotte. Her infectious smile could light up a room and bring much joy. Her love for her family brought laughter, humor and lightness everywhere she went.
Charlotte was employed with Gateway Education Center for 15 years, in the preschool area as a teachers aid and she earn to respect and love of students, parents and staff. She never met a stranger. Charlotte became a Tupperware Representative in 1992 for 15 years. Her outgoing personality and love of people made her a leader in sales. During 2001 she was in the top 100 in team sales in the nation.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Frances & Marie Sims and her brother Joe Sims.

Those left to cherish her memories her husband Don or 44 years, brother David Sims, her sisters Susan Sims and Connie Jones (Harry Odell) sister -in-law Terry Sims, nephews Jon Sims, Jimmy Hedgepeth, Matthew Jones(Jamie) Nieces Stephanie Smith (Josh) great-nephews Jaxon Smith, Carter Jones, Jace Jones and great nieces Madelyn Smith and a host of cousins and family and friends who she loved dearly.
Don is a good man, and I know how much he loves his wife. Prayers and condolences to the entire Tilley family.
