Round Two of the WNIT tonight…ODU had a Bye to get here, while N.C. A&T defeated UNCG, 56-51, back on Friday night to get here tonight…It has been two-week layoff since ODU played their last basketball game….

GREENSBORO—It was a good night for the city of Greensboro and for women’s sports. With its 56-51 win over UNC Greensboro at Corbett Sports Center Friday night in the opening round of the postseason Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT), the North Carolina A&T women’s basketball team undoubtedly had a super night.
The Aggies and the Spartans played in front of an energetic crowd of 3,909 fans rooting for their favorite Greensboro Division I women’s basketball team. Two Gate City schools separated by two miles fighting for city supremacy while trying to advance in a national tournament made for an excellent atmosphere, and no one can ignore the excitement surrounding the women’s game. 2022-23 (JR): Started in all 34 games played … Was third on the team in scoring with 293 points, was tied for third at 8.6 points per game, and was also third in steals with 41 … Pulled down 111 rebounds and led the Monarchs with 113 assists … Shot over 70 percent from the free-throw line (.709) … Scored the game-winning shot with four seconds left in ODU’s 84-82 overtime victory at Georgia Southern. She tallied 13 points with eight boards … Knocked down a season high of 21 points at Marshall and gathered six rebounds with two steals to lead the Monarchs to a 66-63 win over the Herd … Scored double-digit points in 13 games … Had at least one rebound in all but two games and assists in all but three.
PREP: Attended Phillip O. Berry High School(Charlotte, N.C.), where she scored 1,678 points and averaged over 18 points her junior and senior seasons … Was the SoMeck 7 Player of the Year as a junior … Was named her team’s MVP twice and made First Team All-Team All-Region and First Team All-State as a senior … Made the North Carolina/South Carolina All-Star Team and was runner-up for MVP honors.
